The Victory Twister Island comes with mechanical rotary switches, making this range one of our most reliable models. Designed, assembled, and certified in Canada for long lasting, problem free service. We offer a 5 year parts warranty on this model.

This model can be used with a standard 6" duct (600CFM) or an 8" duct (750CFM) for a quieter and more efficient operation. The motor is an all metal blower and the filters are stainless steel baffle filters making the Twister Island ideal for gas cooktops.

Looks great. I get a rattle sound on the lowest setting. For quick but noisy odours gone the full setting is good

Good hood, rough installation

First, this hood should have a better photo that clearly shows how rounded it is at the top. This wouldn't have changed my decision to order it, but it might for someone else.

Second, the installation method was awful; there's no other word for it. The backplate provided was not wide enough to reach even one stud, keyholes do not work for a range that sits flush up under a cabinet (there's no room to slide) and the instructions claimed that we would need only the backplate OR to drill up through the hood. This resulted in my husband holding up a 60 pound hood while I attached the backplate (to solid wood that I had run between the studs) and then for about 20 minutes after that while I figured out how to get it actually secure. There were no actual pilot holes, and I was drilling from above (the underneath is too tight to get a drill in), so I had to just attempt to aim for the drawn-on hole placements so I could screw a nut in underneath. Truly one of the worst installation experiences I've had.

My four star rating is because now that it's hung, it feels like a good quality appliance and does a great job clearing the smoke, vastly better than our old over-the-range microwave.

Could find

Amazing and will buy it again and again

We have ordered 1200 CFM Chimney Hood 42 Inch - Victory Twister-MAX and Galvanized Steel Wall Cap - 8" Duct. They have been installed for almost a year now. Their customer service is great. Due to the hanging height request from my husband and the ceiling limitation for only 8" duct, we ended up purchasing one size larger than we need so my husband will not bang on his head if it is hung on at a higher than recommended height. We both love the range hood very much. The LED lights, the noise and the ease of cleaning are all great. Most of the time we only use the lowest setting, I only use the higher setting when I do heavy duty cooking. But even on higher settings, the noise level is not bad at all. After living in rental houses for years without kitchen range hoods. I am happy that I do not need to wash the oil off the walls and ceiling any longer. With such a nice hood, it is lovely to cook everyday. If you are on the fence to get one, don't let the price scare you. Give them a call to help you decide. I will guarantee you every penny you spend is worth it.

Impressive

Product is good. Really like it.

Nice unit

Bought a twister max 48” with the rear 10” vent. Seems well made and fit and finish is nice. Lights dim nicely and fan seems powerful. I like the rotary knobs as they are easy to use and easy to grip. Small little buttons can be annoying. It was time consuming to mount properly and line up but that was expected with the size and the rear vent. Had an issue with the fan making a grinding sound on one side with the unit out of the box. They respond quickly and quickly sent new impellers. I still had the issue and it turned out to be a bracket that covers the wires internally. The screw head was rubbing the impeller as it needed a couple more turns. I bent the bracket outwards a bit too as it does seem like it puts extra pressure along the edge on the wires when tightened. So far very pleased with service and product.

Not very strong

The fan barely sucks in any air. It looks good and fits nicely in the ceiling but doesn’t do the job. For the price I expected it world work much better. It’s a disappointment.

This is not common. There are many factors that can impact suction.

The range hood must be installed at the recommended height above the stove and it must be centered above the cooking surface. The minimum duct size requirement is 6' round (including the outside vent cap). If there are too many duct turns or duct reducers, suction will be impacted. If there's barely any air moving, there is a high chance of a duct blockage! Please check all duct connections to ensure any backdraft damper flaps are not being blocked by screws or duct connections.
